I think the correct grammar you were looking for was “Revelations are…”

Unless of course you were referring to the biblical book of “Revelation” (which is not plural). In that case you would say “Revelation is…”

Revelations is the ravings of a lunatic, and therefore lunatics gravitate to it. Any attempt to “understand” what it says will surely warp your mind.
